Faire un film, pas facile!

Et vous qui croyiez que faire un film de snow était facile. Détrompez-vous! On a croisé le Pinard Crew vendredi en plein tournage et le spot que Pull-Up voulait tenter semblait assez impossible. C’était un rail dans la station qui faisait flat, down, flat, down pour finir en flat. L’atterrissage était une route, donc du pur béton. Pour finir, Pull-Up a décidé de ne pas le faire, et de ne pas risquer cette superbe fin de saison. On lui dit chapeau quand même et lui souhaitons à lui et son crew, une bonne fin de tournage.

And you thought that making a snowboard movie was easy. Well it’s not! We crossed the Pinard Crew in the middle of filming a spot the other day and trust me, it looked totally sketchy. Pull-Up ended up not even trying the spot in order to prevent a bad fall. We congratulate him anyhow and wish him and his crew and cool end of season.
Il neige, il neige, il neige!!!

Cette fois-ci, la neige, y en a! Il est tombé environ 35cm de fraiche entre jeudi et vendredi soir et c’est peut-être pas fini. Ceci est l’occasion parfaite d’explorer 1 ou 2 spots dans le village pour faire un petit “Roof Gap”. Merci à Greebs pour ces images ainsi qu’à Pierre, Sam, Michael, et Will d’avoir ridé ce truc un peu sketch avec comme atterrissage, une forêt et des troncs. Pour le reste, on vous souhaite un superbe weekend de POWPOW!

It just keeps snowing! About 35 cm of fresh powder has fallen in the past 2 days. This is an occasion to explore a few spots in the village and do a little “Roof Gap” session. Thanks to Greebs for the images as well as Will, Michael, Pierre and Sam for riding this sketchy line with a forest as a landing. For the rest of you, we wish you a sick weekend of POWPOW!

Greebs toujours à fond!

Ahhh qu’ils nous font plaisir cette équipe de Greebs composée de Yannick, Alex, Romain, Benoit et bien plus encore. Les images de ce clip ont été filmées durant le mois de février dans un superbe park, une neige parfaite et une ambiance bien sympathique. Merci pour tous les clip, images et bon humour qu’ils partagent avec nous durant cette saison.

Greebs production is back again with a short clip of them goofing around in the park. The images were filmed during the month of February in a perfectly shaped park, sick snow and a great atmosphere. Thanks to them for all their footage during this season!

Voici quelques magnifiques photos prisent par Benoit Erard durant le mois de février dans le snowpark de Leysin. Comme on peut le constater, les photos de Benoit sont devenues de plus en plus parfaites et ceci grâce à son nouvel appareil photos de chez Nikon, qui lui permet d’être plus précis et de prendre un plus grand nombre de photos la seconde. Merci infiniment à lui de partager avec nous ces images et on lui souhaite bien du plaisir.

Here is a photo album taken by Benoit Erard during the month of February in the snowpark in Leysin. As we can see Benoit has been getting better and better at shooting with the help of his new Nikon camera which allows him to take a greater number of pictures per second. Emilie fait la UNE du journal COOP!

Cette semaine, notre championne de ski-cross Emilie Serain, a fait la première page du journal Coop. Pour rappel, Emilie court depuis 4 ans sur le circuit de coupe du monde de Ski-Cross et a pour but de se qualifier pour les JO de Vancouver 2010. Cette saison, elle a fait quelques bons résultats en début de saison. Malheureusement, la suite de sa saison c’est moins bien passé avec une commotion lors d’une course à Dear Valley, juste avant les X Games. Demain, Emilie sera en course au Japon pour une des étape importante à sa qualification pour les JO. Bonne chance!
This week, our local skicross champion, Emilie Serain, made the front page of the COOP newspaper. To remind you, Emilie is a member of the Swiss National SkiCross team and is currently on the world cup circuit. This year, Emilie has had a few good results with an unfortunate fall just before the X Games ending up with a concussion. Tomorrow, Emilie will be racing in Japan which will be an important qualifying race for the 2010 Olympics. We wish her good luck.
