NRP Bike Movie 2011

Nous arrivons gentiment à la fin de la saison de bike qui a malheureusement souvent été synonyme de pluie les weekends, et de neige précoce. Malgré ça, notre shaper William a fait un bouleau énorme pour mettre en place, améliorer et créer des pistes à Leysin. Un gros big up!
Du côté ride, notre team de shock, “New Real Prod” a quand même profité à fond de la saison et surtout de la nouvelle piste pour faire un édit de l’automne.
Côté film, on sait plus que dire! Les édit du Crew deviennent tellement pro, autant au niveau du ride (Romain), de l’édit (Yannick) et du scénario (Benoît). Des images absolument incroyable avec des ralentis spectaculaires. Vraiment les gars, BLAH!

We’re slowly reaching out for the last few days of the BikePArk here in Leysin. Sadly, this season was often hindered with poor weather, snow and more. Nevertheless, our Shaper William made a huge effort to clean, shape and build trails during the whole summer. Big Up to Him!
On the Crew Side, “New Real Production” took full advantage of the new run as well as the rest of the resort to have a blast! It sure looks like Romain has reached the next level with non-stop bigger and meaner riding.
Movie wise, there are no more words to describe the incredible work by New Real. Their film-making has become so professional and so good, it is hard to comment on it. Their new Bike Movie is called, “Newreal Tricks” featuring Romain Erard on the bike, Yannick on the editing machine, Benoit always creating new scenarios and some help from Christophe Baer on the camera.

Milo teste la nouvelle piste de DH!

Ce weekend, on a croisé notre Milo national et lui avons demandé de tester pour nous le nouveau tronçon de piste de DH à Leysin. Il nous a dit oui mais a voulu le faire encore quelques fois avant d’être filmé. Conclusion, quand Milo dit qu’il lui faut faire encore 1-2 passages avant de filmer c’est parce-qu’il va tout déchirer.
On vous laisse apprécier Milo in “Action” ainsi que William, Romain (qui déchire tout), Benoît et d’autre personnes qui ont participé à la construction et aux testes sur cette piste magnifique. Une fine équipe quoi!

This past weekend, we meet up with Milo to see if he would be willing to test the new downhill bike trail for us. He said no problem but wanted to do it a few more times before we filmed him. Conclusion, when Milo says this, it means he’s gonna kill it.
We let you enjoy his run as well as a few pics of William, Romain and Benoît while building and testing the course.

Les maillots LeysinPark de DH sont de retour!

Enfin, les maillots de Bike/DH LeysinPark sont de retour. Après 1 année d’absence, 2 modèles avec le même design qu’auparavant vous sont proposés. Le premier est fait avec un tissu technique qui laisse passer la transpiration et sèche rapidement. Le 2ème est le même que celui d’y a 1 année avec un tissu mèche qui créé une meilleure évacuation de la chaleur avec du filet fin sous les aisselles. Ces 2 maillots sont disponible au magasin Hefti Sports à Leysin (en face des remontées mécaniques). Le premier coûte CHF 69.- et le 2ème CHF 89.-. BLah!



Finally, the LeysinPark downhill/bike jerseys are back! After 1 year of absence, 2 models with the same design are available. The first one is made with technical material which helps evacuate heat and sweat and dries quickly. The second model is made with a mesh which increases air flow and includes thin mesh under the arm pits. These two jerseys are available at Hefti Sports in Leysin (just opposite the lift). The first one costs CHF 69.- and the second CHF 89.-. Come get your freak on!

Le premier triple back flip en Bike!

Ce 28 Mai 2011 dernier, Jed Mildon, un rider de BMX, à posé le premier triple back flip jamais exécuté en vélo. Il l’a tiré lors d’un événement en Nouvelle-Zélande, le Unit T3 Mindtricks BMX Jam. La vidéo et l’article officiel plus bas.

New Zealand BMXer Jed Mildon has created action-sports history today by landing the world’s first Triple Backflip at the Unit T3 Mindtricks BMX Jam in Taupo, New Zealand.

Mildon, 24, stomped the three rotations perfectly during the free-to-the-public BMX show in his home-town.

A representative of the Guinness Book Of World Records was on hand to witness and approve the ground-breaking trick that is sure to send shockwaves through the two-wheeled action-sports industry.

“This is the perfect result to three intensive months of practising and training for this moment,” said a thrilled Mildon.

“The impact and implications hasn’t sunken in yet, but I’m so pumped to have aimed for something once deemed impossible and made my dream a reality.”

“Landing with both wheels on the downramp was the most amazing feeling in the world!”

The Unit T3 Mindtricks BMX Jam in Taupo was held at a public recreational park, with Mildon carving an 20m (66ft) high super-ramp into a hillside that flowed through a 3.6m (11ft) high super-kicker to Jed’s purpose-built Mega-Megabox landing.

Unit founder Paul Everest congratulated Mildon on his amazing feat.

“Jed has proven himself to be one of the world’s best BMX riders and we salute him for having both the drive and ability to change the face of action-sports.

“He has shown the world what is possible if you take your dream and single-mindedly chase your goals without being distracted or listen to the critics and naysayers.”

The Unit T3 Mindtricks BMX Jam was made possible with the help of Unit, Bikefest and Taupo District Council, MB Century, McDonald’s Taupo, theairbag.co.nz, foampit.co.nz and Pilgrim Bike Co.

NewReal Production à Chaumont

La semaine dernière, l’équipe de New Real Production s’est redue à Chaumont (Neuch) pour visiter les pistes proposées par la sympathique équipe de “Bike Attitude“. Comme vous pourrez le voir, le travail accompli par le crew de Chaumont est impressionnant et vaut le détour. Merci à Yannick, Romain et Daguette pour cet édit.


Last week, our local crew from New Real Production took a little trip to Chaumont in Neuchâtel to ride some of the sickest runs in that area. It is thanks to the crew from “Bike Attitude” that these trails are as nice as they are. Thanks to Yanick, Romain and Daguette for this edit!

New Northshore on Leysin Downhill!

Une nouvelle passerelle de northshore vient d’être mise en place sur la piste de descente de Leysin. Elle n’est pas trop technique mais permet à tous de se faire bien plaisir. Elle débute avec un virage relevé suivit de 2 bosses dont une avec un mini transfert pour finir avec un dernier transfert avant la sortie. Cette passerelle est le début d’un secteur qui va se développer dans les jours et semaines avenir avec plusieurs rampes et autres. On se réjouis de voir la suite. Big Up à William!

A new northsore area is coming to life on the lower section of the Downhill Biking trails here in Leysin. The new ramp is composed of an entry burn followed by two rolls with 1 easy transfer in the middle and one slightly more technical one on the exit. This area will keep on being developed until the end of the season (October 24th) and will be getting bigger and sicker next year. Big up to William!

Inauguration dirt park!

Samedi dernier, a eu lieu l’inauguration de la nouvelle ligne de dirt à Leysin. Cette ligne est située prêt de la Patinoire et se compose d’une ligne noire, rouge, et bleue. Malheureusement, le temps n’a vraiment pas joué en faveur de l’organisation avec une mini-tempête le matin même, ainsi que des pluies intermittente tout au long de la journée. Malgré ceci, seule la motivation était présente avec une petite équipe bien sympa et au rendez-vous, bar, grill, ride, DJ, feu de joie et night sesssion. Merci encore au comité pour une soirée inoubliable.

Last Saturday took place the inauguration of the new dirt line in Leysin. This new park is located near the ice ring and is composed of a blue, red and black line. Unfortunately, the weather was close to horrible with a full on storm the morning of the event and showers throughout the day. Nevertheless, the organizing committee was pumped and kept on going. A fun evening took place with a bonfire, DJ’s, riding, night session, BBQ and bar. Thanks to the committee for this fun night!
